This publication originates from NOUVEAUX PHONOGRAMMES, a collective mail art project curated by Achille Filipponi. The project began in March 2023 at the Castello di Rivoli Museo di Arte Contemporanea, on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition Artists in War.

NOUVEAUX PHONOGRAMMES unfolds along the thematic grid of war, understood in its broadest and most elusive sense, as a collective visual system reflecting on the inevitability of conflict, both internal and external, between and within human beings.

The project brings together artists, poets, critics, curators, writers, and philosophers from across the world.
Participants were invited to send their contribution by fax to two different phone numbers. The faxes, collected between March and October 2025, constitute the pages of this collective artist's book.
