Bittersweet – Moments, Moods & Mutants - Kirim Nam & Charlotte Hornung
Bittersweet mutants — part object, part creature — emerge from playful experiments with form and texture. Through the organic touch of stencil-cut printing the mutants come alive. Text and image intertwine to explore bittersweet states of mind and relationships —
fragile, awkward and unexpectedly warm. Each moment describes a tension between two conflicting emotions: the sweetness of a moment is intensified by the bitter awareness of loss or change.
Kirim Nam and Charlotte Hornung, two Berlin-based visual artists, have joined forces as Archive for Tender Textures (ATT) to explore their shared passion for the tender and unique textures of stencil-cut printing. Their collaboration brings together an analog working approach that not only forms their artistic practice but also inspires
the development of workshop formats and self-published artworks.
