If “the face is the mirror of the soul”, it is above all the reflection of the beauty standards of an era. Cara (“face” in Latin) is a printed and digital monothematic magazine issued once a year. Each new edition focuses on a different part of the face and brings together the world of academia and social sciences with fashion photography and marketing, industries that are integral to the making of beauty standards. The first issue, focusing on the nose, shares historical anecdotes, image series and trend analysis around this part of the face, both a source of pride and complexes.
