The Stone Tape gathers 22 years of gig posters, exhibition invites, party flyers and promotional matter produced by the Glasgow based artist Rob Churm with an introduction by Fritz Welch. The work collected sets alight the rich intersections of live music and event making with its attendant images, textures and type in Rob’s cult scrawling and determined detail. It is a document of the art and music scene, as well as Rob's art practice which takes in a variety of references from science and weird-fiction, post-human thought, and cult film, layering them to construct stories that echo the life he is living. Across The Stone Tape’s 166 technicolor risograph pages we watch new starts, one time wonders, legends of the scene and pedigree performers as they circuit through Glasgow’s fair stages.
