Sonic Footprints is an investigative design project that frames industrial noise emissions as an ecological footprint. The publication consists of a booklet and a vinyl record, built around field recordings collected along the supply chain of a plastic toy dolphin, connecting this product to a real dolphin’s habitat through sound. The vinyl presents recordings made above and under water on sides A and B, alongside sound works by ‘Inland’ and ‘SHXCXCHCXSH’. The booklet includes interviews and contributions by Tim Ingold, Salomé Voegelin, and other voices from sound studies, anthropology, and bioacoustics.
