"We present the very first edition of Fray papers: a printed magazine that captures our personal view on fashion, clothing, and material.

For the launch issue, we explore material memory through present imperfections: traces like patina and time found in objects, textiles, and waste that can offer refreshing perspectives on contemporary fashion.
With a carefully curated selection of artists, archival objects, and editorials. Fray papers aims to inspire by revaluing what already exists.

We believe it's important to provide a platform for emerging artists.
For people who are doing unique and interesting work but remain a bit under the radar. Perhaps some of them prefer to stay that way, but we simply want to showcase the beauty of what they create.

We share meaningful conversations, some teach us about textile and garments, often without coming from a fashion background themselves.
These artists move beyond trends and seasons. Each explores traces of use and the meaning of time in their own way - through material research and cultural meaning - questioning and reshaping our material world within the context of contemporary fashion.
