Weaving together archival elements and references this first-time publication documents New York artist Carol Bove’s first international solo exhibition at the Kunstverein in Hamburg, Germany. Bove’s work is part of a broader project that explores North American history and art from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. Among this fast-rising young artist’s influences are cultural events such as feminism, hippie psychedelia and the peace movement.
